My entry for the Prox contest~! Karst and Menardi as little spiky children. X3 They're Mars adepts who can't feel cold, so they don't need coats or gloves. I figure the kids could have basic face markings, and those would change as they grow up... :3

Menardi is older, so she has a book to study Psynergy. It'll only be a couple years before she sets out with Saturos - maybe she has a crush on him now, so she studies harder? ;3 Karst has a little stuffed Turtle Dragon, since the snails were too hard to draw. xD

This makes me sad, though~!! ;__; I never cared much for the Proxians, until I visited their village. Then... the realization that I had killed noble heroes... That they were the good guys all along... TT_____TT ...it made me cry!! I wanted to draw a memory of the sisters being young and happy, before Karst was angry and Menardi was desperate... That's why the Lighthouse is in the background (it really is pink and teal, if you remember) - because they both die in a lighthouse... because of MEEE.... TT_____TT

That was fast. :XD: Thank you very much~! They have weird skin... They're supposed to be sort of pink. The boys are all blue. X3 They're such an odd race of people, the Proxians... I'm glad you like it~! :heart:

They look great! They're so young and innocent the way you portray them, it's hard to imagine them growing up to be psuedo-villains.
Your colors are so rich too!

When I got to that part I didn't feel as guilty.. they were still cruel and fought when they did not need to, even if their eventual goal would save the world.

Aw, thanks~! ^__^ I spend a lot of time with coloured pencils, always layering them. A lot of time detail is lost with the scanner, so I play with Brightness/Contrast and Hue/Saturation until it looks right again! ;3

Hm... That is true, but since they were a people steeped in Fire, they would be naturally aggressive, no? Jenna and Garet are both quick to overreact to situations, and I chalked that to their element. (Not something that particularly endeared them to me, but simply a Mars thing, I suppose...) So yes, I felt very very guilty. ;_;
I think it was when the last warriors had gathered around and said, "Were they brave? Did they go down fighting? Bet you were scared!" :(

Aaaw, this is such a touching scene ~ I feel how you do too, but in the end this is how the world is like since it's impossible to get everyone to agree on the exact same ideals. Great concept and lovely painting...wait, drawing! Your colour so rich and smooth I always get so confused! >_<

Aww.. yeah, this is exactly why I love the Proxians. they're so misunderstood and you can just imagine their happy times just like everyone else. I like their skin here, it's so pink and rosy looking!
